When I started Beauty Cafe in 1997 it was born out of my passion for fragrances and in sharing my favorites with others who didn't have access to all the fabulous fragrances I was discovering on my travels back home to LA and to NYC.
So fast forward 19 years and most people have access to just about everything from everywhere and Amazon's Echo is patiently listening for our wishes and making same day deliveries, even on Sundays.
Many of you may or may not know that fashion has always been a passion of mine. In fact, I'm a graduate of FIDM. My big dream was to become a Fashion Designer, which is a work in progress.
The other day I was in downtown LA shopping for fabric (that's another blog post or two) when I realized that oh my goodness - I truly have access to some of the most amazing fashion and accessory. Just down the street from me.
Of course, my moment of enlightenment occurred when I found myself parked in front of a store called Mür. I felt a gravitational force pulling me inside the shop. Within the first few moments I knew I was on to something and had discovered an amazing line, Monoreno, designed in LA. I went home and for the love of all that's holy found myself obsessing about the line. The following Monday I brought my neighbor/friend Anna to get her thoughts. As you can see if you check out the line, apparently she felt the same way about it as I did and we picked out a few key pieces to start with and see where it goes.
Have a look and I welcome your thoughts and feedback. I picked just a handful of items. Keep in mind that each piece comes in the same color range of: White, Cream, Coral, Cement, Black, Navy and Aqua. So if you see something that you like but it's not in the color you are interested in, just drop me a note and I'll be happy to pick it up for you. After all I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away (as if I need an excuse to go to the showroom!).
