Mom has lived with me since shortly before Alannah was born in '92. She moved in to help take care of Alannah while Robert and I worked.
She packed up her apt of over 30 years and even followed us to Texas. Mom has always been my biggest supporter/fan and many of y'all know how much she has been a huge part of Beauty Cafe.
So I just wanted to share a major life update with y'all... mom has entered into hospice at home with Chris and me (and of course Alannah, JD, and the grand kids who live nearby).
We've all been so blessed that we've been able to take care of her for so long but the time has come where we need hospice to help us as she moves on. We do not have a time frame but we know it's less than a few months. She'll be 98 in May and damn she's had a full and wonderful life. We should all be so blessed.
I know many of you have known my mom since we were babes in kindergarten... yes, we welcome all thoughts and prayers. She deserves a very peaceful and loving transition. Taking it one blessed day at a time.
