I now own several colors of this tee, and I’m seriously considering whether “several” is enough. First off, it's 100% cotton and uber soft. There's almost a light flannel cotton feel inside but it's been light enough that I've been wearing them all summer long.
Finding a great basic T-shirt shouldn't be difficult, but somehow it is. They're too long. They're cropped in the front, too long in the back. Too boxy. Too clingy. The sleeves hit in a weird place. Or my personal favorite—the supposedly cute cropped tee that becomes way more cropped than intended when you have a larger bra cup size.
If you know, you know.

The Crop Is Just Right
This is probably my favorite thing about this shirt and then of course the feel. Just feels so nice.
I love the look of a slightly cropped tee because it gives you a much more flattering proportion with jeans, shorts or leggings. But—and this is a very important but—I do not want my belly showing.
It hits at just the right spot to give you that cute, modern cropped look without actually looking like you're wearing a crop top. With my higher-waisted jeans and shorts, there's no belly peeking out. It's just a really flattering length.
And when you're larger through the bust, that's not always easy to find. A shirt that's already cropped has considerably more territory to cover before it ever reaches your waist. 😂
This one actually works.
At 63, I still want cute clothes. I just want them to fit my body.
Apparently that's not too much to ask.
First I bought the white, then the grey, then a couple of more whites and a pink. I wasn't too crazy about the Apricot color (cream) so I gave that one to Alannah. I looked totally washed out in it.
This is my unofficial test for whether I really love something.
Did I buy another one?
In this case: yes. Several.
Once I find a basic that works, I'm not interested in starting the hunt all over again. Give me the colors, please.
It's one of those easy pieces you can throw on with jeans and sneakers, wear with leggings, layer under something, or dress up a little with jewelry.
Nothing complicated. It just looks good.
A Little Shout-Out to the Girls
Can we talk about T-shirts and boobs for a minute?
Those of us with larger cup sizes know that the exact same shirt can look completely different on us than it does on the model.
Cute and slightly cropped on her.
Crop top circa 1987 aerobics class on me. 😂
This tee gives me enough room through the bust without making the rest of me look enormous. And somehow the length still lands where I want it to—with everything that I want covered still covered.
That is a small fashion miracle.
Would I Buy It Again?
Considering I've already done exactly that...
Absolutely. 😂
It's comfortable, flattering, nicely cropped without showing my belly, and easy to wear. Most importantly, I feel good in it.
And that's becoming something of a theme around here.
Whether we're talking makeup, skincare or clothes, I'm not particularly interested in all the rules about what women are supposed to wear after a certain age.
I'm 63.
I like my cropped T-shirt.
And I bought it in several colors.
10/10. No notes.
Except maybe... What color do I need next? 😉
