How does one even start a memorial about someone who lived 98 blessed, happy, healthy, and fulfilled years?

MorMor Mie - her smile and laugh could always light up a room. Bring her See's Candies, Danish Butter Cookies, or a bag of yarn from Joann, and you'll make her day. She was always about the simple things in life and never asked or wanted for much. I swear she was the most self-sacrificing person I've ever known. Just wanted to spend time with her family, knit and drink coffee.. gosh she loved her coffee and it later years it truly became a ritual for us to share a morning cup. In later years, she put down the knitting and crocheting needles because arthritis had taken its toll on her fingers. She fell in love with the show Heartland, and I think we can attest that she's seen every episode at least 20 times.
She loved to walk.. she'd go on such long walks, that there were times in later years I'd go out driving trying to find her because I was concerned she'd gotten lost. She never did get lost, but once a man escorted her home even though she told him she was fine. She used to walk from our apt at Orchid and Franklin out to the Glendale Galleria to pick up licorice at GNC and then take the bus home. The distance she walked became much less in later years, but she walked every day (weather permitting) until the past couple of weeks.
She loved being MorMor Mie, or as Julian dubbed her, MoMo. I'm glad she got to experience living with all of us under the same roof or in very close proximity for many years, so she'd see everyone every day. The joy in her face and eyes when she was with family, was something I will never forget. Her laugh was beyond amazing.
She was my greatest champion, always, even in those moments when I doubted myself; she was there.
I could go on, got a lifetime of memories and adventures. She was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed.
